The Oracle Sun SPARC T4-1 server used is powered by a SPARC T4 processor which combines single-threaded performance with high overall system throughput.
The advanced SPARC T4 processor offers integrated on-chip cryptographic support that provides encryption capabilities at wire speed without sacrificing application performance.
The Oracle Sun SPARC T4-1 server being used has one SPARC T4 processor and 16 DIMM slots that can support a total of 512 GB of memory when populated with 32 GB DIMMs. SPARC T4-1 provides highly expandable internal storage and network connectivity as the server has room for a combination of eight hard drives or solid state drives and six PCI Express card slots.
